Job Purpose

The role of a Facilities Manager is to be accountable for a team of people and to ensure the facilities meet the needs of the technical team, are run efficiently and are compliant with local HSE, quality standards and ensure the appropriate and adequate service to manufacturing. This role will support the requirement of internal and external visitor to the manufacturing site.

Key Accountabilities
  • Accountable for the management of performance and delivery of routine service activities from CBRE: ensure adequate maintenance schedules are in place and followed; identify risks and barriers to successful delivery within work and implement recommendations for resolution to manage the risk; liaise with engineering to ensure facilities are fit-for-use with minimal disruption to daily operations of the technical team.
  • Ensure the facilities meet current and future needs, primarily coordinate with CBRE: propose improvements to facilities to meet future needs of the technical team; prepare budget submissions to secure funding aside from CBRE proposal; implement high level strategic changes within the facility as required.
  • Report and manage CBRE’s performance.
  • Be a champion related to facility operational excellence initiatives.
  • Execute projects related to site facility improvement.
  • Develop, plan and execute a variety of internal events such as townhall, regional & global meeting, VIP visits, CSR activities and etc.
  • Oversee all aspects of event planning and management, including identifying and working with external facilities, maintaining and managing event budgets, manage all logistics on site.
Experience

Essential educational qualifications, relevant experience and requested skills.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any engineering or related field.
  • Familiarity with facility operation.
  • Experience of successful interactions with internal and external customers – HSE experts, contractors, CBRE etc.
  • Management of multiple projects.
  • Ability to produce written communication including reports and data using language and content appropriate to a range of audiences.
  • Well-versed in technical / engineering operations and facilities management best practices.
  • Ability to participate in verbal communication situations including meetings, group discussions and presentations to internal and external audiences.
