FACILITY MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR

Job Description

Full-Time Year-Round

Start: May 15, 2025

Starting Wage: $24 per hour

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 8:30am – 4:30pm (Summer)

35-40 hrs per week during the Ski Season (schedule to be determined)

Note: Summer hours and days may vary depending on Mountain events.

Sasquatch Mountain Resort is transitioning to a full 4-Season destination, and we are looking for a dependable, experienced Facility Maintenance Supervisor. This position will report to the Inside Operations Manager year-round. The Facility Maintenance Supervisor plays a key role in ensuring our facilities, buildings, and presentation are clean, maintained, in excellent repair, and meet WorkSafe BC and our Safety Standards.

What you will be doing
  1. Adhere to all WorkSafe BC, WHMIS, and SMR policies and standards, including when operating power equipment, working around sensitive information, and cleaning chemicals.
  2. Help build a strong, customer-focused facility maintenance and janitorial team.
  3. Prepare and schedule the janitorial and facility maintenance teams to provide exceptional coverage and service while adhering to departmental budgets.
  4. Ensure clean and well-kept facilities at all times.
  5. Ensure physical product inventories are accurate and up to date. Investigate discrepancies. Ensure all facilities and cleaning supplies are well stocked at all times during the day.
  6. Partake in and pass manufacturer-specified training programs.
  7. Ensure all MSDS sheets are up-to-date and readily accessible at all times.
  8. Record all maintenance work in IMPAK and ensure regular daily communication with the Inside Operations Manager.
  9. Provide accurate service supply orders for processing while adhering to departmental budgets at all times.
  10. Attend regular meetings and communicate all information concisely and entirely.
  11. Maintain a clean and presentable appearance.
  12. Keep your workspace and areas clean and tidy at all times.
  13. Be a positive spokesperson for SMR. Treat all fellow employees and guests with the utmost respect and provide exceptional customer service always.
  14. Ability and desire to meet deadlines.
  15. Ability and desire to work collaboratively with all departments.
  16. Other duties as may be assigned.
What you will bring
  1. A valid BC Driver's License with a clean driver's abstract.
  2. Ability to complete and pass an RCMP Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sectors Check.
  3. A strong work ethic – get the job done attitude. A willingness to learn. Open-minded attitude.
  4. A customer-first mentality.
  5. A reliable vehicle to travel back and forth to the resort if not living at SMR.
  6. Previous, practical, and relevant experience in facility maintenance or the construction industry.
  7. Computer-savvy. Ability to understand computer programs. Experience with Microsoft suite.
  8. Strong background in people management with proven examples.
Benefits
  1. $24 per hour.
