Description
The Information Technologies department is currently seeking a Full-time Regular Facilities Technology Coordinator.
As a member of the team, the Facilities Technology Coordinator will report to the Service Lead Facilities Intake.
The Facilities Intake Team manages numerous ongoing projects across the University of Calgary's campuses (Main Campus, Foothills, Spy Hill, Downtown) and research field stations, covering access, classroom, lab, and building services, renovations, upgrades, and new constructions.
This role requires proficient time management, problem-solving, and communication skills to oversee the successful delivery of IT Facility projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The incumbent should be able to operate independently, develop creative solutions, and ensure accountability to meet deadlines.
The Facilities Technology Coordinator will communicate regularly with facilities and project managers, SMEs, vendors, and other stakeholders. The ability to professionally translate technical processes for both business and technical audiences is vital.
The role involves balancing multiple initiatives with tight deadlines, where errors can lead to significant costs and delays. High attention to detail, self-initiative, adaptability, and resiliency are essential.
This position offers the opportunity to participate in large-scale projects, learn from cross-functional teams, and impact the university's education, operations, and research positively.

The position typically works 35 hours per week during standard business hours (08:30-16:30, Monday to Friday), with flexibility for shifts as needed. It is part of the AUPE bargaining group.
