Qualifications

About us:

Playground is an internationally renowned gaming destination located a short 15-minute drive south of downtown Montreal, within the Mohawk territory of Kahnawake. We are currently expanding, unveiling new gaming floors, a luxurious hotel, and specialized dining options.

Position Overview:

As a Facilities Technician, you'll be the hands-on expert responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of our company's buildings. Your role involves performing various maintenance tasks, including repairs, installations, and general maintenance duties. You'll use your practical skills to ensure our facilities are safe, fully operational, and visually appealing. Your contributions will be vital in providing a well-maintained and efficient work environment.

Available Schedules:

6am - 2pm, 2pm-10pm, 10pm to 6am (must be available weekends)

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine inspections of premises and equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment including Hvac, Generators, Ventilation etc.
  • Handle everyday repairs and maintenance on site
  • Oversee contractors in occasions when professional repairs or servicing is necessary
  • Identify and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and be able to correct them
  • Repair machines, equipment, or structures as necessary
  • Work on preventative and reactive maintenance
  • Move Gaming Machines and tables

Requirements:

  • Bilingual French and English (an asset) and must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must have a valid work permit or be a Canadian resident
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects repeatedly as required
  • Proven experience in a similar role (maintenance repairs in plumbing, electrical, painting, plastering and minor renovations)
  • Related degree from a technical college (an asset)
  • Ability to take apart machines, equipment, or devices to remove and replace defective parts
  • High degree of competency using common hand and power tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, etc
  • Experience with precision measuring instruments or electronic testing devices
  • Experience performing routine maintenance
  • Strong organizational and follow up skills, detail-oriented
  • Professional presentation and attitude
  • Ability to maintain focus while working autonomously in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
