City Experiences is seeking a Facilities Supervisor for our City Cruises operation in Niagara Falls, ON.

About You:

This person will be adaptable, dynamic, and embody City Experiences’ RESPECT Service System.

About the Opportunity:

The Facilities Supervisor is a hands-on supervisor responsible for ensuring all buildings, structures, properties, and equipment are in good working order and visually appealing. This includes the ticket plaza, group booth, lower landing, administrative offices, warehouse, vehicles, elevators, and funicular. Reporting to the Manager, Facilities, the supervisor oversees cleaning, painting, repairs, renovations, and remodeling, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and safely.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safe and reliable operation of all systems, machinery, and equipment, complying with NCC ISO RMS and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform duties such as cleaning, maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, and repairs.
  • Assist the Manager, Facilities, in ensuring the Facilities crew works safely and efficiently.
  • Assist with onboarding and training of Facilities crew members.
  • Maintain operation and maintenance logs, recording incidents and irregularities.
  • Help create and enforce preventative maintenance schedules and procedures.
  • Support departments like Marine, Guest Experience, Safety, Food & Retail with projects and maintenance.
  • Ensure all buildings, equipment, machinery, and vehicles are in safe working condition and maintained regularly.
  • Assist in project planning and execution.
  • Inspect site areas for unsafe conditions and assist in investigations and reports.
  • Report non-conformities to the Manager, Facilities.
  • Operate machinery such as forklifts, telehandlers, boom lifts, scissor lifts, and snow clearing equipment.
  • Participate in emergency drills and safety meetings, ensuring safety policies are followed.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work environment.
  • Understand and adhere to internal policies and external regulations.
  • Maintain high customer service standards.
  • Follow safety policies and procedures diligently.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and punctuality.
  • Understand company policies and maintain necessary licenses and certifications.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • O.S.S.D. or equivalent recognized by the Ministry of Education.
  • Valid Ontario driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • At least three years of supervisory experience in facilities or maintenance operations.
  • Minimum five years of relevant maintenance and repair experience.
  • Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
  • WHMIS training (provided).
  • Forklift certification (provided).
  • Fall Arrest, Confined Space, Lock Out Tag Out, and Project Management training are assets.
  • Experience with ISO standards is an asset.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors, performing physical tasks up to 23 kg.
  • Willingness to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions and wear PPE as required.
  • Specialized skills like fitting, welding, or equipment operation are a plus.
