The Opportunity

The Facilities Specialist maintains restaurants through preventative maintenance on all aspects of the restaurant.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Facilities Manager by supervising facility aspects of restaurant management at the market level.
  • Perform facility maintenance and repairs through monthly site visits and analysis.
  • Formulate preventative maintenance schedules for safe, efficient, and effective restaurant operation, including cooking equipment, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and refrigeration.
  • Follow procedures during facility malfunctions or safety threats.
  • Train staff on maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair; assess additional training needs.
  • Ensure proper and consistent maintenance practices among staff.
  • Conduct maintenance seminars individually or in groups.
  • Provide maintenance visit recaps to the Operations Team and Regional Facility Manager.
  • Identify issues increasing M&R and capital costs; communicate findings.
  • Guide restaurants on maintaining and updating facility records.
  • Perform equipment and building repairs, including emergencies and scheduled visits.
  • Participate in new store turnover and inspection walks.
  • Serve as liaison with landlords, contractors, and vendors for repairs.
  • Assist in investigating facilities issues for escalation decisions.
  • Represent facilities at operations meetings and communicate updates.
  • Support development initiatives and communicate contractor deficiencies.
  • Complete other duties as needed.
Qualifications
  • Strong trade knowledge in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, cooking equipment, appliances, HVAC, and refrigeration.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations for facilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple schedules and plan work efficiently.
  • Effective communication and training skills.
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Report and responsible driving.
  • B.A./B.S. or equivalent experience; 2+ years in facility repair and maintenance, preferred experience with restaurant equipment.
Compensation & Benefits
