J.D. Irving, Limited is seeking a highly organized and safety-conscious Facilities Project Manager to join our Real Estate Facilities Group. This role is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of real estate and facilities projects while ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of our facilities. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership, organizational, and technical skills to manage cross-functional initiatives and maintain high standards in facility operation.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in facilities or real estate project management.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong knowledge of construction safety standards and building codes.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
Responsibilities
  • Project Oversight: Lead end-to-end project management for capital improvements, renovations, and strategic initiatives including scope definition, detailed cost estimating, scheduling, procurement, and quality control.
  • Facility Management: Support daily operation of the facilities, ensuring safety, compliance and functionality.
  • Safety Leadership: Champion a culture of safety by integrating safety protocols into all phases of project planning and execution. Promote and encourage a safe workplace, ensuring all activities comply with legislative, contractual, and company policy requirements.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with internal departments, external contractors, engineers, and regulatory agencies to ensure project alignment and timely delivery.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project timelines and safety.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, safety audits, and budget tracking.
  • Vendor Management: Evaluate and manage third-party vendors and contractors, ensuring adherence to performance and safety standards.
  • Sustainability & Compliance: Promote environmentally responsible practices and ensure all projects meet applicable legal and environmental regulations.
