SCOPE

Reporting to the Operations Project Manager NWSSC, the Project Coordinator is responsible for preparing comprehensive action plans, including resources, timeframes and assist in budgets for project. The Junior Project Coordinator will perform various coordinating tasks, like schedule and risk management, along with administrative duties, like maintaining project documentation and handling quotes as well as interaction with project teams.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Project Coordination: Coordinate project management activities, including managing resources, equipment, and information to ensure project goals are achieved efficiently.
  • Task Planning and Scheduling: Break down projects into actionable tasks, set achievable timeframes, and assign responsibilities to internal teams.
  • Client Liaison: Collaborate with clients to identify and define project requirements, scope, and objectives.
  • Risk and Opportunity Analysis: Analyze potential risks and opportunities to enhance project outcomes.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Utilize tools to track working hours, project plans, and expenditures, and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, reports, and records.
  • Team Support: Provide daily administrative assistance to the Operations Project Manager and project delivery team members.
  • Filing and Documentation: Maintain an organized electronic filing system to ensure accessibility and accuracy of records.
  • Communication Development: Prepare and distribute internal and external communications to ensure clear and effective information flow.
WHO YOU ARE
  • EDUCATION:
    • Post secondary education in administration, business or a related field
    • Certification: PMP or related project certification required, or in progress
    • Experience: minimum 2 years relevant, related experience
  • CERTIFICATE(S) / LICENSE(S):
    • PMP (Project Management Professional) or working towards PMP.
    • Other relevant certifications in project management
  • EXPERIENCE:
    • Minimum two (2) years related previous experience
  • KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, COMPETENCIES:
    • Good working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint and Teams)
    • Ability to work with employees at all levels, gauging their requirements and understanding their needs.
    • Detail oriented and highly organized to keep all travel arrangements, project schedules, personnel tracking in order, with ability to multi-task and prioritize urgent matters.
    • Strong ability to set and meet deadlines.
    • Ability to work independently with little supervision.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and operate well under pressure and time constraints.
    • Ability to adapt to flexible hours (including weekends) during busy seasons of the business or for emergencies/last minute changes
    • Excellent teamwork skills, and the ability to develop and maintain internal and external relationships.
    • Ability to work and contribute well independently and within a team environment
