The Opportunity :

Red River Coop is recruiting a Facilities Manager to join our team. Reporting to the Senior Director of Development the Facilities Manager adds value to our Cooperative byensuring our locations are safe efficient and aligned with our organizational standards and regulatory requirements.

Essential responsibilities of the position include the following :

  • Maintain and oversee all major Coop assets (buildings equipment) by ensuring proper documentation required inspections ongoing maintenance standardized processes checklists and compliance with operational standards.
  • Develop and implement facilities best practices procedures and service systems to improve capacities and increase customer service.
  • Coordinate all maintenance of HVAC grounds lighting systems fire safety systems and other equipment at our sites and maximize the potential of Nova Star.
  • Coordinate contract award manage and administer all maintenance contracts including warranty audits of recent installations.
  • Investigate current contracts and seek opportunities for financial savings.
  • Maintain approved contractor program documents.
  • Manage one fulltime Maintenance Technician oversee daily tasks and implement checklists.
  • Complete minor repairs whenever possible.
  • Document and report hazards implement immediate corrective actions when possible and ensure preventive measures are in place.

About You

To be successful in this role you will bring the following skills and competencies :

  • Education in a technical field or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience with refrigeration pumps motors valves and hydraulic systems is an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • organizational communication and problemsolving skills.
  • Prior experience in operations facility management and project management.
