Under the limited supervision of the Manager, Buildings & Projects, the Facilities Maintenance Worker is responsible for maintenance and repair services to buildings, student residence, furniture, equipment, and grounds including carpentry, painting, plumbing, irrigation and sanitation needs.
This position is responsible for testing emergency showers and eyewash/deluge stations to ensure OH&S compliance. A valid Class 5 driver’s license is required.

Salary range: $26.92 - $30.74

Type of appointment: Non-regular On-Call
Schedule: Monday to Friday; 8:00AM - 4:00PM; Schedule and hours will vary based on operational need.

This position is also responsible for the testing of emergency showers and eyewash/deluge stations to ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety requirements.
Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent plus up to and including one-year post-secondary trades’ related training.
A minimum of 2 years’ related experience in facility maintenance is required. Experience in facility maintenance may include experience in any or all of the following areas:
Must possess a valid Class 5 driver’s license.
