Job summary

Amentum is seeking a General Maintenance Technician - Handyman to support daily facility operations in Toronto. You will relocate office furniture, assemble furniture, assist with catering setups, perform basic carpentry and electrical tasks, and ensure conference rooms stay prepared for daily use.

This role requires a high school diploma, at least three years of office environment experience, the ability to read work orders in CMMS, and the capacity to travel locally as needed.

Qualifications

  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3 years of experience in a corporate office environment or a demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to obtain a security access badge at client location and a valid driver’s license.
  • This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization.

Responsibilities

  • Relocate and rearrange office furniture.
  • Assemble office furniture purchased from vendors.
  • Support catering and refreshment setups for meetings.
  • Perform basic carpentry and electrical troubleshooting (non‑licensed).
  • Complete work orders via CMMS and maintain facilities in good condition.
  • Ensure conference rooms and pantry areas are well maintained and stocked.
  • Travel locally to support other locations as needed.
  • Adhere to OSHA and site-specific EHS policies.
