This job is posted as part of our seasonal hiring for Spring/Summer, 2026, it will be a full time seasonal role.
Role & Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and safety-first approach
  • Perform cleaning duties for all guest and team member areas including staff accommodation
  • Cleaning duties will include all common area floors, public and staff washrooms, outdoor areas, windows, and other daily cleaning assignments
  • Ensure cleaning checklists are completed and maintained daily
  • Maintain garbage collection areas and help facilitate an effective recycling program through proper sorting and storage
  • Ensure all cleaning supplies stock is adequate and well-organized
  • Adhere to all WHMIS and other departmental safety requirements and notify facilities supervisor of any safety hazards or concerns
  • Ensure grounds are maintained and clean throughout the operating day, including shoreline areas and walking paths within our leasehold
  • Daily rounds of the outdoor garbage bins and grounds to pick up trash and proper disposal of refuse
  • Some general landscaping maintenance including grass cutting, trimming, leaf blowing and raking
  • During peak cafeteria hours bussing of tables may be required
  • Other duties as assigned
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Work ethic and commitment to the team and guest is key
  • Committed to Safety First and the highest quality of cleaning standards
  • Must get excited at the idea of living and working in a more remote (yet very social) environment
  • Ability to lift loads of up to 50 pounds as necessary - Helpful and friendly, willing to go the extra mile
  • Relaxed, flexible and able to handle a few curve balls
  • A keen attention to detail and lover of organized, clean spaces
  • A self-starter who works well under low supervision, always looking for things to do and keeping a list of ideas for a slow day
  • A handy individual who is not afraid to get their hands dirty
  • Confidence to safely use common lawn maintenance equipment such as lawn mower, trimmer and leaf blower
  • Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods of time in both an indoor and outdoor environment. Be prepared for all weather (snow, rain, wind, hail)
  • Must meet the organization's grooming and appearance standards
  • To honour our commitment to be “Always Honest” all employees must consent to a criminal record check
  • Standard first aid or higher an asset

The starting wage for this role is $21.50/hour.
