Job summary

New Frontiers School Board is seeking a Maintenance Workman Class II to perform building upkeep, cleaning, and pool maintenance as needed. The role requires transporting goods and assisting with minor repairs under supervision of the School Principal. Work schedule is Monday–Friday, 15:00–23:00.

Applicants must have two official languages, a valid driver’s license, and at least 2 years of relevant experience with industrial cleaning products. Employment is with the Human Resources Department.

Qualifications

• Must possess a car and a valid driver’s license.
• Two official languages (French and English) required.
• 2 years of pertinent experience and good working knowledge of industrial cleaning products.

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance work and preventive upkeep of buildings, grounds, equipment and pools.
• Handle and transport goods, furniture and other materials as needed.
• Perform cleaning tasks: sweeping, mopping, washing, windows, washrooms, and outdoors duties such as snow removal.
• Replace light bulbs and fluorescent tubes; fuel and operate heating pilot lights; report breakdowns.
• Assist qualified workers, move furniture, set up tools, and assist with scaffolding as required.
• Prepare rooms and halls per requested arrangements and maintain pools and related equipment when needed.
