Job summary

Catholic Social Services in Edmonton is hiring a full-time Building Operator under Infrastructure and Asset Management. You will perform general maintenance, carpentry, and repairs on agency facilities, including HVAC and boilers, while ensuring safe operation and timely documentation.

Ideal candidates have a Grade 12, 3 years of hands-on maintenance experience in real estate or institutional settings, and relevant certifications; assets include Power Engineering 4th/5th class, property

Qualifications

Minimum Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent.
3 years hands-on maintenance experience in real estate environments.
4th or 5th class Power Engineering certificate is an asset.
Property management certificate is an asset.
Diploma or related trade certificate is considered an asset.
Basic knowledge in carpentry, electrical, plumbing and HVAC is preferred.
Police Information Check current within six months.
Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

Perform general maintenance and repairs for CSS facilities.
Carry out carpentry, plumbing, heating and cooling tasks as assigned.
Inspect and troubleshoot equipment such as boilers and HVAC systems.
Coordinate jobs from assessment through materials, delivery, completion and cleanup.
Submit inspection, information and job completion reports promptly.
Advise IAM on repairs or improvements and stay updated on trades innovations.
Operate Agency vehicles safely and ensure routine service.
Follow health and safety policies and procedures.
