About Our Opportunity

Reporting to the SAP Product Manager, the SAP Product Lead supports both the ongoing operation and modernization of the Province’s SAP HCM, Payroll, and SuccessFactors landscapes. The role provides product leadership for reliable day-to-day service delivery, continuous improvement, and the design and implementation of modern, cloud-based solutions. The Product Lead works closely with business stakeholders, operational support teams, project teams, implementation partners, and technical specialists to manage product priorities throughout the steady-state and project lifecycles. The position supports service continuity to deliver modernization outcomes aligned with business needs.

Primary Accountabilities

  • Participate in business transformation and cloud adoption initiatives, including the implementation of SAP SuccessFactors and related workforce management solutions, while supporting continuity of existing solutions.
  • Provide product support across project and operational lifecycles, including discovery, requirements definition, solution design, configuration validation, testing, cutover, deployment, stabilization, and operational support.
  • Support business stakeholders and project teams in defining future-state processes and translating business needs into product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and implementation priorities.
  • Manage and prioritize product backlogs across steady-state and modernization, including enhancements, service requests, requirements, design decisions, defects, dependencies, risks, issues, and implementation deliverables.
  • Coordinate business participation in project activities including migration, integration, testing, payroll validation, reconciliation, and implementation-readiness activities.
  • Support product governance, roadmap development, strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and project decision‑making to ensure modernization outcomes align with the Province’s priorities.
  • Collaborate with implementation partners and internal teams to monitor deliverables, resolve project issues, manage risks and support organizational readiness.
Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will have a Bachelor’s degree in Business or Computer Science with a minimum of 5 years related experience; or graduated from a recognized Information Technology Program plus 5 years and 6 months experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

  • Experience supporting Human Resources and Payroll functions through business transformation, enterprise technology implementation, or modernization projects.
  • Experience working with business stakeholders, systems integrators, vendors, or external service providers to define priorities, resolve issues, and support decision‑making
  • Experience gathering, analyzing, documenting, and validating business and system requirements.
  • Experience managing project requirements, product backlogs, priorities, risks, issues, dependencies, and decisions.
  • Experience supporting solution design, business process transformation, testing, implementation, and deployment activities.
  • Knowledge of systems development lifecycle, Agile delivery methodologies, and IT service management principles.
  • Demonstrated strength in problem-solving, decision‑making, verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships with clients, staff, peers, and management.
Assets

The following are assets to this position:

  • Experience with SAP ERP, S/4 HANA or SuccessFactors implementations.
  • Proficiency in SAP technologies, tools, and methodologies, including SAP HCM and SuccessFactors

  • Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) V3 Certification, or a Business Analysis Certificate
  • Knowledge of project management methodology, ITIL processes, Records/Information Management and IT Security policies and procedures in Government

We will assess the above qualifications and experience using tools such as assessments, presentations, interviews, reference checks, etc.
