Job summary

MacLean Engineering is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Supervisor in Collingwood to lead a small team of tradespeople and janitorial staff. You will drive safety, efficiency, and compliance with OSHA while maintaining production equipment and facilities.

The role emphasizes maintenance planning, preventive/predictive strategies, and coordination with production. A diploma or trade certification and supervisory experience are required, with CAD/CMMS knowledge considered an asset.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or Certificate of Completion.
• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or similar discipline, or a valid Certificate of Qualification in a related industrial Mechanical or Electrical trade is required
• Five (5)+ years of experience in Maintenance Planning, Supervisory, Management, or Production Management role
• Front-Line Supervisory training is preferred
• Knowledge of OHSA Act, Ontario Fire Code, Ontario Building Code, Canadian Electrical Code, Environmental Protection Act, and related bylaws is essential
• Experience with AutoCAD and CMMS is an asset

Responsibilities

• Motivate, mentor and engage a team of tradespeople and janitorial staff.
• Ensure OSHA compliance and safe work practices.
• Oversee maintenance, repair and overhaul of building systems and equipment.
• Develop preventative and predictive maintenance strategies to maximize reliability.
• Plan, source materials and manage costs for maintenance tasks.
• Lead safety meetings and corrective actions as needed.
• Update CAD drawings and master floor plans.
• Attend meetings and perform other duties as assigned.
