We are hiring a full-time Facilities Maintenance Coordinator at our Edmonton, AB branch. This role reports directly to the Director of Operations. This position is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, safety, and presentation of the facility. This includes coordinating maintenance and repairs, managing service contracts, overseeing equipment and technical support, and maintaining a clean and organized environment. The role also involves administrative oversight, including vendor coordination and key access management, to support daily operations. Overall, the coordinator ensures the facility is functional, safe, and professionally maintained at all times.

Please note: This is an in-office position with a requirement to work 5 days per week at the Edmonton branch.

Responsibilities
  • Facility Maintenance & Coordination: Perform or coordinate building repairs and preventative maintenance to ensure a safe and functional work environment; manage service contracts (e.g., janitorial, pest control, landscaping, snow removal) to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness; liaise with the landlord or property management regarding warranty-related repairs and building issues.
  • Equipment & Technical Support: Oversee servicing, rentals, and contractor performance for mobile power equipment (e.g., forklifts, scissor lifts); carry out minor installations and repairs such as signage, shelving, or racking; coordinate IT hardware needs, including printers, computers, and related office equipment.
  • Site Presentation & Housekeeping: Prepare facilities for boardroom meetings, showroom visits, and special events, ensuring professional presentation; operate floor scrubbers, manage waste and recycling programs, and maintain entrances and common areas to a high standard; support health and safety initiatives through proper housekeeping practices.
  • Administrative Duties: Manage and maintain the electronic key fob system for secure site access; obtain and review quotes for large repairs; coordinate scheduling and oversight of external vendors; maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and vendor service reports.
Qualifications
  • Practical experience in electrical, mechanical, construction, or technical servicing
  • Valid driver’s license; experience operating or repairing mobile power equipment preferred
  • Previous experience in warehouse or industrial facility environments
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
  • Ability to liaise effectively with vendors, contractors, and internal staff
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Organized, self-motivated, and accountable; able to manage multiple priorities independently
  • Calm and professional demeanor with strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
