Job summary

The Salvation Army in Saskatoon is seeking a reliable Maintenance Technician to support Crossroads Residential Services. You will perform skilled mechanical maintenance, basic repairs, and grounds care to ensure a safe, comfortable environment for clients and staff.

Responsibilities include completing work orders, inspecting facilities, operating vehicles, keeping logs, and coordinating with supervisors. A police check, driver’s license, and first aid are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Satisfactory Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Search.
• Satisfactory Child Intervention Check.
• Valid Saskatchewan Class 5 Drivers License and satisfactory Saskatchewan Drivers Abstract
• Standard First Aid/Level A or C CPR
• WHMIS training
• Alternative combination of education and experience might be considered.

Responsibilities

• Complete facility work orders for repairs, maintenance, and preventative tasks.
• Complete regular reviews of facility condition with supervisor.
• Read heating system logs with supervisor per schedules.
• Troubleshoot building systems and perform required repairs.
• Maintain supplies and organize inventory.
• Snow and ice removal and grounds maintenance.
• Safely operate company vehicles and related equipment.
• Complete daily logs for maintenance and custodial tasks.
• Attend meetings and complete required training.
• Communicate with vendors and contractors when required.
