Job description

Our client, a major Oil & Gas company, is seeking a Facilities Engineer to work a 1-year assignment in Calgary, AB.

Key Responsibilities :
  1. Operational Optimization : Oversee and optimize various gas processing equipment such as inlet separation, gas compression, amine sweetening, refrigeration, and vapour recovery units (VRUs). Monitor equipment performance, troubleshoot issues, and develop improvement strategies to enhance efficiency and reliability.
  2. Technical Support : Coordinate with site operations and ensure alignment with production goals.
  3. Regulatory Compliance : Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. Prepare and submit necessary reports to regulatory bodies.
  4. Health & Safety : Promote a strong safety culture within the team. Conduct hazard assessments, implement risk mitigation strategies, and ensure adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental policies.
Requirements :
  • Education : Recognized degree in Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Professional Membership : Active professional membership with Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC) or with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA).
  • Experience : Previous experience in facilities engineering, specifically within gas plant operations. Strong understanding of gas processing and related equipment.
  • Skills : Proficient in the use of engineering software and tools. Excellent problem-solving skills. Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Travel : Occasional travel to site operations.
  • Authorization : Legally authorized to work in Canada on a full-time basis without restrictions.
