Job summary

RainCity Housing in Sechelt, BC is seeking a Casual Custodian to perform janitorial, maintenance and basic repair duties for the program facility. You will assist with room prep for new tenants, pest control, and basic security duties under the Operations Manager.

The role requires a Grade 12, First Aid, Building Service Worker certificate, and about 1 year of related experience; ability to work independently and with tenants is essential.

Qualifications

• Grade 12.
• Certificate in First Aid.
• Building Service Worker Certificate.
• Recent, related experience of 1 year.
• Or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic janitorial, maintenance and repair duties for the program facility.
• Clean external areas and disinfect building areas; assist with pest control for tenants.
• Assist staff with preparing rooms for new tenants and programs.
• Perform basic security duties such as patrolling buildings and grounds.
• Take direction from the Operations Manager or designate as needed.
