TEEMA seeks a Facilities Coordination Project Manager in Surrey, BC. The role oversees baseline facilities management for training facilities, coordinating service calls, and maintaining safety and occupancy of the Trades Training Centre.

You will liaise with internal and external stakeholders to address issues and ensure timely resolutions. Key duties include planning and reporting on project activities, developing risk and project plans, and executing tasks with MS Office tools and Project.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Economics or related discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, direct, and report on business process change or similar project activities by consistently monitoring project benefits, resources and status and creating documents such as project plans, action logs, communication plans, status reports and post implementation reviews so that the project is implemented as planned.
  • Develop project plans and risk management plans for business process change or similar projects by identifying, analyzing, and monitoring risks for effective risk management throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Complete project management activities including scoping, planning, managing, monitoring, and reporting on project tasks by using intermediate skills in Microsoft Office as well as project management programs to fulfill BC Hydro’s business needs.
  • Maintain meaningful relationships with stakeholders through regular reporting and communication using excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills enabling timely progression of projects.

Job title: Facilities Coordination Project Manager

Overview:
This role is responsible for the baseline facilities management requirements for L&D’s training facilities in operation. This includes daily checks of the Trades Training Centre for safe occupancy, addressing and reporting building issues as they arise, collaborating with a number of stakeholder groups internal to L&D and external service provides, coordinating service calls, identifying service issues related to L&D-owned assets, managing occupant facility concerns and routing these for resolution, working in close collaboration with the L&D Administration & Planning team, maintaining L&D technologies, performing monthly maintenance tasks assigned to this role, maintaining an Intermediate first aid certificate, performing first aid duties at the TTC and maintaining the TTC’s first aid program, and a variety of other facilities-related tasks as may be assigned.

What you must have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Economics or related discipline
  • A minimum five (5) years of project management experience or equivalent
  • Project Management Professional (PMP®) designation, preferred
  • Intermediate MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project)
  • Advanced English skills for professional environment, written and spoken

Salary/Rate Range:45.00 -$55.00 per hour

Term: 6-month contract; most likely to extend
