Job summary

ATCO is hiring two Facilities Project Managers to join the Facilities Capital team, overseeing a diverse portfolio across Alberta. The role manages projects from design through close-out, ensuring safety, on-time delivery, and budget adherence.

The ideal candidate will have engineering/PM education, 7+ years PM experience, and knowledge of PMI methods with MS Project/SharePoint familiarity. Travel up to 30% and office-based work five days a week are expected.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Engineering, Project Management or Architecture is preferred.
• 7+ years of related project management experience; building management is a strong asset.
• PMP and/or Facility Management Professional (FMP) designation is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and deliver facilities capital projects from initiation through close-out; ensure scope, schedule, budget, risk and quality align with standards.
• Coordinate feasibility studies, cost estimates, permitting, approvals and other planning activities.
• Work with procurement to source and manage materials, equipment, and services.
• Oversee day-to-day project activities with contractors and project team to support safe delivery.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, health, safety and environmental requirements (HSE).
• Maintain complete project documentation and capitalization records.
• Monitor performance using project management tools and report progress, risks, milestones, and variances.
• Lead and motivate project team members; delegate work and adapt leadership as needed.
• Identify opportunities to improve operations and optimize processes; provide feedback to Senior PM.
