Overview

Summary

The Facilities and Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of our office facilities, supporting a healthy and productive work environment.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular inspections of office facilities to identify maintenance or repair needs.
  • Perform minor repairs such as changing light bulbs and batteries, fixing leaks, and addressing basic plumbing issues.
  • Manage and maintain supplies; monitor inventory and reorder supplies as needed.
  • Coordinate with external vendors for specialized maintenance or repair services.
  • Assist in setting up and breaking down meeting rooms and event spaces as required.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental protocols, including proper use and storage of cleaning chemicals.
  • Maintain records of maintenance activities, and supply inventories.
  • Process and track Facility vendor invoices, following up where required.
  • Oversee Joint Health & Safety Committee for the Facility
  • Report facility issues promptly to manager for resolution.
  • Perform daily cleaning tasks including vacuuming, dusting, mopping, and sanitizing all office areas, restrooms, kitchens, and common spaces.
  • All other duties as required.

Required Experience

  • Completion of high school; relevant certifications or experience in facility maintenance and janitorial services is an asset.
  • 2+ years’ experience in janitorial, custodial, or facility maintenance roles preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow cleaning and maintenance protocols with strong attention to detail.
  • Basic repair skills (plumbing, carpentry) are advantageous.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physically capable of performing cleaning tasks and light maintenance duties.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with Team Members and vendors.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and maintenance standards.
  • Proactive and self-directed with a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe workspace.
  • Able to work well with a variety of people & maintain confidentiality.
  • SAP Knowledge is an asset.
