Position Information

Location: Coquitlam Campus

Salary Range: $30.91 to $33.46 per hour. Salary is based on education and experience.

THE ROLE:
The Facilitator/Marketer role delivers career-related workshops targeted to rural and remote, pre-arrival, settled, and resettling newcomers across rural BC and Yukon.

This role will be responsible for marketing the ENRICH project in rural and remote BC and Yukon, recruitment of participants and developing/modifying and updating the full curriculum to support asynchronous and synchronous delivery via Blackboard ultra. Some weekend and evening work required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collect and securely store informed consent and personal information for research purposes, ensuring compliance with privacy requirements.
  • Participate in PAC advisory committee meetings and contribute to strategic decision-making.
  • Market and recruit participants for baseline surveys, focus groups, and follow-up surveys.
  • Develop marketing materials and coordinate with the marketing department for rollout.
  • Lead and conduct information and intake sessions, recruiting participants for regional BC and Yukon program delivery.
  • Update curriculum to reflect local labor market information and facilitate synchronous and asynchronous sessions on career planning, job search, life skills, and employability skills.
  • Provide individualized employment coaching, including support for clients with multiple barriers.
  • Develop and deliver pre- and post-arrival workshops, ensuring a professional online learning environment.
  • Coordinate guest speakers, update the project website, and monitor participant progress, reporting monthly or as needed.
  • Maintain organized electronic files for curriculum and instruction guides and ensure secure data collection and storage.
  • Adhere to privacy requirements when documenting participant progress and maintaining the Participant Management Information System (PMIS).
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System.
  • Perform additional duties as required, such as building employer and community connections.

Additional Tasks:
  • Develop and implement outreach strategies to engage communities, promote programs, and boost enrollment.
  • Evaluate workshop effectiveness and participant feedback to guide program improvements.
  • Collaborate with the Project Coordinator to align workshops with labor market trends and community needs.
  • Organize information sessions to raise awareness of newcomer resources and services.
  • Maintain regular communication with participants to provide support and encourage ongoing engagement.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent with Microsoft Word, Power Point and Excel.
  • Experience with online video conferencing platforms such as Zoom and Blackboard for program delivery.
  • CCDP certificate an asset.
  • Experience working with newcomers with varying language abilities.
  • Proven ability to develop and customize curriculum.
  • Experience with group facilitation and individual coaching, both in person and virtually.
  • Some experience and/or knowledge of research projects.
  • Experience in marketing and recruitment.

Additional Information

This is a full-time contract position (40 hours per week) based at the Coquitlam Campus, and will be required to travel occasionally within the lower mainland. Shifts are typically Mondays-Fridays from 9:00am-5:00pm, but may include occasional evenings and weekends.
