Job summary

VIKING FIRE PROTECTION INC is seeking a Fire Protection Technologist to inspect and service fire alarm systems in accordance with industry standards. Candidates should hold a diploma in Fire Protection Technology, possess relevant certifications, and have 5-10 years of field experience. Qualifications

Job description

You will mainly be responsible for the service and inspection of fire alarm systems according to standards and codes. Among other things, your responsibilities will be:

• Inspection, service, and troubleshooting of existing fire alarm systems;
• Performing upgrades, repairs, additions, or improvements to systems following inspection;
• Preparation of inspection, verification, and deficiency reports in a timely manner;
• Respond to emergency calls during evenings and weekends, on a rotational basis.

QUALIFICATION

• Diploma in Fire Protection Technology/Technologist;
• CFAA certification;
• 5-10 years of relevant experience in the fire protection field;
• Experience in fire alarm systems programming;
• Knowledge of Notifier products (an asset);
• Knowledge in marine fire alarm systems (an asset);
• Ability to work well independently;
• Valid driver’s license;
