Job summary

Durant Sessions in Vancouver is seeking an Eyewear Stylist/Sales Associate to help customers choose eyewear that fits both style and function. You will greet clients, explain options, and guide selections of glasses and contact lenses with a focus on service and accuracy.

You will also provide product details, assist with lens fittings, and process transactions while keeping the store organized and inviting for a great shopping experience.

Qualifications

• Experience with eyewear products and terminology.
• Experience with lens fitting and adjustments is desirable.
• Familiarity with Epic or similar EHR systems.

• Maintain knowledge of current optical trends, new products, and technological advancements such as Epic electronic health record systems used for patient management
• Support the optical team with laboratory tasks such as lens fitting, adjustments, and basic measurements, utilizing laboratory experience when applicable
• Process sales transactions accurately using retail POS systems while promoting additional products or services to enhance customer satisfaction
• Keep the sales floor organized, clean, and well-stocked to create an inviting shopping environment

Skills

• Strong understanding of optical terminology and eyewear products to confidently educate customers
• Experience with laboratory procedures related to lens fitting and adjustments is highly desirable
• Familiarity with Epic or similar electronic health record systems is a plus for managing patient information efficiently
• Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to eye care enhances communication with clients and healthcare professionals
