As a Mergers & Acquisitions (“M&A”) Analyst/Associate, you’ll help facilitate making informed, strategic decisions through accurate information. You will be part of a talented, experienced team working on high-profile transactions.

EY’s M&A Practice is industry-leading, offering expertise in mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, financing, and valuations. We advise clients on strategic transactions and capital sourcing, utilizing advanced tools and methodologies to serve sophisticated clients worldwide.

Your key responsibilities:
Analyst:
  • Perform market research and analysis, including industry, competition, and market risk assessment.
  • Synthesize research for modeling, analysis, negotiation support, and other applications.
  • Prepare detailed financial models and scenario analyses.
  • Conduct valuation analyses using various techniques such as DCF, market multiples, and precedent transactions.
  • Assist in due diligence processes.
  • Create marketing materials and investment memos.
  • Provide strategic advice across industries and transactions.
Associate:
  • Manage daily activities of transactions like acquisitions, divestitures, mergers, or financings.
  • Develop and review financial models within guidelines.
  • Synthesize research for modeling and analysis.
  • Draft pitches, marketing materials, and client presentations.
  • Oversee data rooms and manage due diligence processes.
  • Support business development efforts.
  • Prepare valuation reports for tax and financial reporting.
  • Perform financial due diligence and administrative activities.
  • Collaborate with other service lines within EY.
Skills and Attributes for Success:
  • Strong understanding of finance and accounting concepts relevant to M&A.
  • High motivation, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills and a proactive attitude.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modeling.
  • Bilingual in French and English is required.
Qualifications:
