Job summary

Plastic Staffing is seeking an experienced Extrusion Operator for a full-time, on-site role in Woodbridge, Ontario. The operator will monitor extrusion lines, perform line start ups, die changes, and ensure production runs to specification.

You will load materials, monitor quality, document production, and communicate status during shift changes. Minimum 5 years in plastics extrusion with strong troubleshooting and safety awareness is required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a plastics extrusion manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on extrusion operating and troubleshooting experience.
  • Experience completing die changes, line setups and production start ups.
  • Ability to read and follow production specifications and work orders.
  • Strong understanding of quality requirements in plastics manufacturing.
  • Good problem solving skills with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor extrusion lines and associated downstream equipment.
  • Perform line start ups, set ups and die changes.
  • Load raw materials, colour and other materials into extrusion equipment and monitor material usage.
  • Review production work orders and ensure product is manufactured to required specifications.
  • Complete first off checks during line start up and collaborate with Quality Assurance for approval.
  • Check finished product for length, colour and other quality specs throughout production.
  • Identify line or production issues and assist with troubleshooting and corrective action.
  • Complete production, material and start up documentation.
  • Pack finished product as required and maintain a clean, safe work area.
  • Communicate production status during shift changes.

Extrusion Operator

Woodbridge, Ontario | Full Time, Permanent | Plastics Manufacturing

This position is suited to someone who knows extrusion beyond simplywatching the line run. We are looking for an operator who is comfortable with set ups, die changes, startups, troubleshooting, quality checks and keeping production running to specification.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Operate and monitor extrusion lines and associated downstream equipment.
  • Perform line start ups, set ups and die changes.
  • Load raw materials, colour and other required materials into extrusion equipment and monitor materialusage.
  • Review production work orders and ensure product is manufactured to required specifications.
  • Complete first off checks during line start up and work with Quality Assurance for approval.
  • Check finished product for length, colour and other required quality specifications throughoutproduction.
  • Identify line or production issues and assist with troubleshooting and corrective action.
  • Complete required production, material and start up documentation.
  • Pack finished product as required and maintain an organized, clean and safe work area.
  • Communicate production status and relevant requirements during shift changes.
What We Are Looking For
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a plastics extrusion manufacturing environment.

  • Ability to work extended or flexible hours when required.

Working Conditions
  • Full time, on site position in Woodbridge, Ontario.
  • Manufacturing environment requiring adherence to all health, safety and quality procedures.
  • Personal protective equipment must be worn as required.
