Hood Packaging Corporation is seeking an Apprentice for our Montreal Plant. The role involves preparing and operating the extruder to produce rolls of plastic film, with a strong emphasis on complying with SQF and HACCP safety standards.

Under supervision, you will support production activities, maintain quality, and collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations in a food-industry environment.

Qualifications

• SQF and HACCP familiarity.
• Fluency in French (spoken and written).

POSITION

Hood Packaging Corporation is seeking an experienced Apprentice for our Montreal Plant.

SCOPE OF POSITION

Under the supervision of the Production Supervisor, the apprentice is responsible for preparing and operating the extruder to transform resin into rolls of plastic film. Given the food industry customers served by Hood Packaging and the risks associated with our manufacturing activities, the incumbent must commit to complying with all quality and safety policies to ensure the continued maintenance of SQF certification.

FUNCTIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Familiarity with SQF and HACCP principles.
• Fluency in French, both spoken and written.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and foster teamwork.
• Honest, motivated, disciplined, energetic, and punctual.
• Strong ability to prioritize, with a sense of responsibility and initiative.
• Collaborative, available, good judgment, self-motivated, proactive, methodical, organized, and versatile.
