As a Hydrocarbon Supervisor with Organigram, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the efficient and safe operation of hydrocarbon extraction processes. Your responsibilities will include managing the performance of employees on your team, monitoring materials, coordinating production and maintenance activities, and ensuring adherence to safety standards and SOPs.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure your team is motivated, capable, trained and efficient to ensure targets and high standards are achieved.
  • Maintain records related to your team members, monitor health and safety through PPE checks, hazard awareness and ensuring best practices are followed.
  • Monitor quality and efficiency standards; rectify issues when possible and notifying the Department Manager of any issues that require escalation.
  • Monitor stock levels of materials and spare parts.
  • Inspect and audit work areas regularly to identify areas that need specific attention and perform the follow-ups accordingly.
  • Audit team and processes to ensure adherence to SOPs and necessary SOP revisions are documented.
  • Optimize parameters and processes to allow for consistent, reliable production of concentrates products;
  • Identify variation in extract characteristics and determine root cause and corrective actions;
  • Provide regular performance feedback and develop progression plans for employees within the department;
  • Ensure maintenance and calibration of equipment is completed as per defined schedule;
  • Troubleshoot equipment problems and document findings for future reference;
  • Provide production reports and identify areas of improvement;
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements with the goal of meeting or exceeding departmental safety, quality, and production KPIs;
  • Lead by example and ensure compliance with Safety and QA requirement
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven supervisory experience in a technical manufacturing environment
  • Previous hydrocarbon extraction experience is an asset.
  • Proven leadership experience including training and performance management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify root cause .
  • Excellent communication skills to provide feedback, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and report production metrics.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with quality assurance requirements and compliance standards in the cannabis, food or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on optimizing processes to meet or exceed departmental KPIs.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

Shift requirements for this role will be 7:45PM to 7:45AM on a rotating continental shift .
