Sector: iA Special Markets; Working Environment: Hybrid Model, Must work in the office at least twice a month Location: Ontario or Quebec Status: Permanent; Start Date: As soon as possible; Language: Bilingual English and French both written and spoken would be required

iA Special Markets and iA Group Saving & Retirement require a skilled and experienced External Auditor to carry out audit activities for Third Party Administrators (TPAs) and Third -Party Payers (TPPs) that we partner with for various business operations.

In this role you will be responsible for independently reviewing and verifying the financial transactions and processes of our TPAs & TPPs, as well as conducting audits of their internal controls and compliance with our organization's standards, contractual agreements and industry regulations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct audits of TPAs & TPPs to ensure accuracy, integrity, and compliance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Work with the line of business to establish an audit schedule

  • Verify financial transactions and processes of TPAs &TPPs to identify discrepancies and irregularities.

  • Evaluate internal control systems of TPAs & TPPs to assess effectiveness and make recommendations for improvements.

  • Prepare audit reports detailing findings, recommendations, and follow-up actions.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address audit findings and ensure corrective actions are implemented.

  • Coordinate and work line of business operational teams as needed

  • Stay up to date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to TPA auditing.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field with relevant experience.

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) certification preferred

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in external auditing, with a focus on auditing TPAs.

  • Strong knowledge of auditing standards, principles, practices and risk management.

  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Willingness to research and explore innovative methods for carrying out audit activities, including automation and leveraging A.I.

  • Advanced proficiency in both spoken and written French and English is required. You will conduct audits in both languages and need to communicate daily with our business partners (TPA & TPP) as well as your colleagues at iA across various departments.
