Job summary

Bluewater District School Board in Ontario invites applications for a temporary Educational Assistant position. The successful candidate will support students with intensive special education needs in both elementary and secondary schools, under the direction of the school Principal.

TEMPORARY EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANT POSITION

An Educational Assistant is responsible to the school Principal to provide medical, physical and safety/supervision support to students with intensive special education needs in elementary and secondary schools.

Eligibility:

To be eligible, applicants must hold a secondary school diploma plus completion of a post-secondary education program in one of the following:Education Support Worker, Educational Assistant Certificate, Early Childhood Educator, Social Service Worker, Developmental Services Worker, Child and Youth Worker, Educational Assistant Apprenticeship Program or equivalent education and/or experience.
