Your Next Challenge:

Reporting to the Exploration Coordinator, you will be part of the Exploration Team. You will directly support geologists and ensure smooth field operations with hands-on tasks such as drill site inspections, surveying, downhole surveys, and data QAQC. You will ensure that goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct, and the environment.

  • Choose and implement access to drilling sites and monitor the drilling rejects deposit.
  • Conduct environmental and health and safety inspections at drilling sites.
  • Conduct and train on the use of downhole survey and oriented core instrumentation.
  • Support the maintenance of camps, buildings, vehicles, and equipment.
  • Supervise logistics of drilling programs, fieldwork, and reclamation programs.
  • Manage drill core and rock samples inventory.
  • Assist in supervising core shack operations as needed.

What You Need to Succeed

  • College diploma in mining technology or relevant training.
  • 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Surveying experience, familiarity with total station, Leica, GPS, and drone operation.
  • Experience with ArcGIS is an asset.
  • Basic carpentry and mechanical skills are assets.
  • Basic vehicle operator skills (snowcat, challenger, skid steer) are assets.
  • Helicopter logistics management is an asset.
  • Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications, especially Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Note that the official working language at our Meliadine Mine is English.

Your Work Schedule:

  • Schedule: 14 days of work, followed by 14 days for transportation and rest.
  • Accommodations and meals are provided on-site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides charter flights to and from the mine site and will cover other travel expenses according to your residence in Canada.
