Job Summary

The Technical Expert – ABAP is responsible for all software development activities related to SAP ABAP. This role involves working with global ABAP, SAP CPI, and FIORI resources, translating complex business requirements into SAP systems, and coordinating project activities with business and IT teams. The person will serve as an expert technical resource on SAP ABAP for all application development phases.

As a Technical Expert (Development), you will have the opportunity to develop substantial knowledge of SAP products and related services, focusing on Business Processes. Support, training, coaching, and mentorship are available to facilitate your growth. Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting live systems for business continuity
• Participating in implementation projects as an executor and/or project leader
• Collaborating with experienced SAP professionals to translate customer requirements into SAP solutions
• Contributing to the extension of our IPEX NA team through knowledge transfer and coaching
• Gathering requirements, designing, developing, testing, and understanding existing SAP ABAP / Fiori / CPI solutions, and supporting extensions
• Providing technical direction during analysis, design, and development phases
• Programming custom applications using ABAP, ABAP-OO, CDS views, OData, Workflows, AMDP Classes, BADl, and User Exits
• Designing and developing SAP HANA native applications, including experience with Hana Studio / Web IDE, HANA SQL scripts, and building complex Dynamic SQL Stored Procedures
• Performing testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and optimization to ensure quality and performance
• Monitoring and tuning system performance
• Providing technical support during implementations, upgrades, and maintenance
• Staying updated with SAP technologies and best practices
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions
• Participating in team sprints, stand-ups, and reviews

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
• 3-5 years of recent experience as a SAPUI5 developer, designing and extending SAPUI5 / Fiori applications with backend knowledge (OData, ABAP, RFC / BAPI)
• Experience with S / 4HANA and SAP BTP ABAP & CAP. Fiori and SAP CPI experience is preferred.
• Strong OO ABAP and REST integration skills
• Extensive experience with SAP workflows and flexible workflows
• Proficiency in AMDP and CDS views development
• Experience using SAP Business Application Studio, Visual Studio, or Eclipse
• Good understanding of functional areas such as RTR, PTP, EWM, manufacturing, and OTC
• Familiarity with Service Now ticketing system
• Bilingual in French and English is a strong asset
