Job summary

Hybrid contract in downtown Montreal: build and evolve .NET/C# microservices on Azure, with a strong backend focus.

A Montreal-based organization is looking for an expert full stack .NET/C# developer to evolve its microservices platform on Azure.

Context

The platform runs on WebAPI services deployed on Azure, message-based integrations (RabbitMQ, MQTT) and an observability stack built on Grafana, Telegraf and InfluxDB. Data lives in SQL Server, Cosmos DB and Redis.

The role

You build microservices in C# and .NET, spending at least 60% of your time on the backend. You also work on the front end in Angular and TypeScript, and you turn customer needs into clear, testable business rules.

What we are looking for

• 5+ years of .NET and C# experience
• 3+ years of backend and frontend development through APIs
• 1+ year with SQL Server and/or Cosmos DB
• Comfortable with Azure, Azure DevOps and microservices architectures
• Nice to have: DevOps mindset, containers, test and deployment automation, RabbitMQ or MQTT
• French is required

Terms

• Downtown Montreal, 2 days a week on site
• 37.5 hours a week, start as soon as possible
• Contract until the end of December 2026, renewable
• Freelance through Abbeal, or permanent employment with Abbeal depending on profile
