As the Major Events Virtual Claims Representative II, you will remotely investigate, negotiate, and settle intermediate habitational, farm, and commercial property claims for major events. You will also support claims operations by handling regular property claims when major event claims decrease.

How you will create impact:
  • Investigate, interpret coverage, negotiate, and settle major event and regular property claims.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure efficiency, loss control, timeliness, and quality of claims settlements, including performing on-site damage evaluations, preparing estimates, and cash settlements.
  • Coach, train, and support the claims team with technical expertise.
  • Conduct initial client calls, determine coverage, review building appraisals, and arrange payments and settlements.
  • Provide exceptional client service in line with our standards to enable our organization to lead in client engagement.

To join our team:
  • You have three years of experience in insurance, business, or a related field.
  • You possess or are working towards the Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation.
  • You hold a provincial Adjuster license in the Atlantic Provinces.
  • Proficiency in both English and French is essential for servicing and communicating with majority anglophone and francophone clients, groups, and teams. Non-French duties are not assignable to other team members.

  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • You need your own vehicle, valid driver’s license, and insurance.
  • Extended work hours, including evenings and weekends, may be necessary during peak periods and major events.
  • Confidentiality and discretion are required when supporting clients experiencing personal or financial loss.
  • This is a remote role requiring a high degree of autonomy.
  • A background check will be conducted if you are selected.

Expected Salary Range: $59,096.00 to $98,494.00 CAD

The final salary will be determined based on various factors including market conditions, location, knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education.
