Job summary

CoFoMo Inc. is seeking an experienced Oracle database administrator to lead migrations to AWS and Oracle@AWS. You will manage ASM, RMAN, Data Guard, OEM and RAC, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and ensure high availability and security throughout the migration lifecycle.

The role requires expertise in complex Oracle migrations, cloud target setups, and robust backup/restore strategies, with focus on regulatory environments and performance optimization.

Qualifications

• Have a strong background in the administration of critical Oracle databases.
• Be proficient in Oracle Database (12c, 19c or newer), ASM, RMAN, Data Guard, OEM, RAC, and ARS
• Have significant experience in carrying out complex Oracle migration projects.
• Experience with Oracle to AWS database migrations.
• Analyze application dependencies and technical impacts associated with migrations.
• Design migration, recovery, and rollback strategies for critical environments.
• Set up and validate cloud target environments.
• Understand high availability architectures and disaster recovery strategies.
• Manage backups, restores, and data recovery mechanisms with RMAN.
• Control Oracle configuration files, wallets, and encryption keys.
• Knowledge of Oracle TDE, certificate management, access controls, and identity governance.
• Integrate security requirements into all migration activities.
• Use automation tools, scripting languages such as Shell or Python, and automated framework practices.
• Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Provide technical leadership and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Operate in mission-critical environments with multiple migrations.
• Knowledge of Oracle Exadata or ExaCC environments (an asset).
• Experience with Oracle workloads in AWS (an asset).
• Banking sector experience (an asset).
• Participate in large-scale cloud transformation programs (an asset).

• Have worked in a highly regulated environment, especially in the banking sector (an asset)


• Participate in large-scale cloud transformation programs (an asset)

This position requires fluency in French and English for daily tasks, understanding documentation, and professional communication with customers, suppliers, and colleagues across Canada.

Language skills in French and English are essential, both oral and written.
