Job description

As an expert administrative advisor, you assist with highly complex strategic initiatives and serve as subject matter leader. You lead and influence large-scale organizational and market initiatives while liaising with stakeholders to understand their needs and challenges. In addition to being the business manager, you represent your specialty on initiatives requiring high-level expertise in a complex field. You’re responsible for strategic, highly innovative, cross-sector projects and initiatives that are operationally and conceptually complex. They require comprehensive analysis and understanding of the organization and line of business. A strategic mindset and organizational savvy are therefore essential. Coordination is critical, so you frequently interact with stakeholders working in a wide range of other fields. You serve as expert advisor and subject matter expert for senior management and decision-making bodies. You represent and negotiate on behalf of Desjardins and enter the organization into agreements with external partners. More specifically, you will be required to:

  1. Complete strategic assessments, develop scenarios and solve unique and complex problems that impact the entire organization.
  2. Develop and implement business practices that meet clients’ complex business needs while honouring Desjardins’s commitments and acting in accordance with Desjardins’s priorities.
  3. Design solutions that meet highly complex needs, recommend implementation strategies and priorities, and coordinate the delivery of work.
  4. Develop implementation oversight mechanisms for innovative solutions you design.

What you bring to the table

  1. Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  2. A minimum of eight years of relevant experience.
  3. Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered.
  4. Knowledge of French is required.
  5. Advanced proficiency of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients.
