Job description

Our dynamic team is growing, and we have a new opportunity for an environmental Technician with 3-5 years of experience to work in a multi-disciplinary team that solves complex issues for our clients throughout Alberta. The position is one of three in the Remediation Program Management (RPM) team which has offices across Canada. This role will include the planning and preparation of two annual field programs, participation in the field programs, and report preparation following each field program. A day in the life :

  • Be part of a Canadian-based firm, applying and expanding your technical, client delivery, and project delivery skills.
  • Work closely with Project Coordinators, Project Managers, Senior Project Directors / Technical Leads, and Field Technicians / Scientists / Engineers.
  • Contribute to a work environment where diverse experiences are valued, fostering a place where people, friends, families, and neighbors can thrive.
  • Maintain a healthy work-life balance with a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office and remote work.
  • Understand project objectives clearly, and communicate ideas and solutions to project managers, directors, and mentors, developing specific work instructions and health and safety plans.
  • Develop your career through mentorship and planning with multiple mentors.
  • Support health and safety initiatives guided by our Zero Harm policy and standards, helping to develop and improve project health and safety plans.
  • Participate as a member of a 25-person regional delivery team, leveraging the expertise of the entire RPM group.
  • Apply your outdoor enthusiasm by completing fieldwork assignments, including work in the Northwest Territories.
  • Mentor junior staff in environmental practices, including Phase I and II ESAs, drilling, surveying, groundwater sampling, and remediation oversight, along with site-specific health and safety.
  • Execute remote field programs during winter and summer, working in shifts of approximately two weeks on and two weeks off, up to three shifts.
