Job summary

WSP in Canada is seeking an Experienced Ambient Air Quality Field Consultant to deliver environmental monitoring programs across Ontario. You’ll operate, calibrate, and maintain monitoring equipment and manage field programs to ensure high-quality data for clients.

Join a team of engineers, scientists, and advisors; you will travel approximately 75% of the time, apply QA/QC, report findings, and help shape innovative solutions while upholding safety and regulatory guidance.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of environmental monitoring experience focused on operating and maintaining sampling equipment.
  • Post-secondary education in environmental science, atmospheric science, chemistry, instrumentation, electronics, or a related discipline.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting aptitude.
  • Experience with MECP and US EPA ambient air monitoring guidance and methods.
  • Ability and desire to perform fieldwork approximately 75% of the time.
  • Experience coordinating field logistics, equipment mobilization, and monitoring programs.
  • Strong technical communication and report-writing skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Valid driver’s licence, access to a vehicle, clean Driver’s Abstract, and the ability to lift 30-50 lbs (13-22 kg) of equipment.

Compensation

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $69,700 – $92,300

MB & ON: $63,600 – $87,500

NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $62,900 – $83,600

The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs. The wage range provided in this job posting may be subject to change for business purposes.
