Experienced Security System Technician/Installer

Marcomm Integrated Business Solutions, part of the Telecon Group of Companies, is currently looking for an energetic and career-minded Senior Security Technician/Installer for Commercial projects in and around the Greater Toronto Area.

The Security Technician is responsible for ensuring that the installation and maintenance of security systems are responded to and processed in a timely manner with a professional approach to customer satisfaction.

The Technician’s focus will be on security projects within a Commercial work environment/setting.

YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

• Installation (including pre-wiring, installing, configuring, programming, commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting) and maintenance of security systems including CCTV (IP & Analog), Card Access systems, Public address systems, intrusion panel, and intercom system.
• Perform configuration and basic troubleshooting on LAN/WANs.
• Respond to customer technical inquiries and provide basic customer training for proper system usage.
• Complete detailed and accurate paperwork.
• Perform other tasks as required.

THIS ROLE IS FOR YOU IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

• 5+ years of experience in Security System Installation or as a Service Technician is required.
• Completion of high school education with preference to post-secondary education in security, electronic, or information technology is an asset.
• Experience with Kantech, KeyScan, Bosch, Salto, Avigilon, I3, TOA, AXIS, Indigo Vision, Milestone, and Genetec.
• Must know wiring of panels and devices for the brands mentioned.
• Experience with key scan or card access certifications would be an asset.
• Networking and IP knowledge.
• Data and voice networks and telephony experience an asset.
• Good physical ability.
• Health and Safety oriented.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Working at Heights and Fall Arrest Certification is an asset.
• Valid driver’s license and access to your own personal vehicle for use.
• Willingness to undergo a pre-employment online Criminal background check.
