Job summary

Municipal Group of Companies' REgroup division is seeking a Roll-Off Truck Driver based out of Lower Sackville, NS. The role involves hauling waste from industrial sites and delivering/hauling roll-off containers while adhering to safety and municipal protocols.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years in waste collection, a Class 3 license with air brake endorsement and experience with manual transmissions, along with strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily pre and post trip inspections.

• Ensure routes are completed safely and on schedule.
• Dump loads following municipal recycling/waste facility protocols.
• Climb ladder to tarp loads.
• Lift Roll-Off hook and attach it to bins; lifting 25–50 lb.
• Perform other duties as required.

REgroup, a division of The Municipal Group of Companies, is an Environmental Services company that services the HRM. For over 20 years, the REgroup has been providing integrated waste collection, management, and recycling services. We are currently looking for a Roll-Off Truck Driver to join our team based out of our Lower Sackville, NS location.

Job Summary

The Roll-Off Driver is responsible for the hauling of waste from industrial sites. The driver is responsible for performing assigned duties on container delivery and hauling of industrial roll-off routes.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities

• Responsible for daily pre and post trip inspections
• Perform driver check-ins at day’s end to ensure complete and accurate paperwork completion
• Ensure routes are completed in a timely and safe manner
• Ensure that all protocols are followed while dumping loads at municipal recycling/waste facilities
• Required to climb up ladder on truck to tarp loads
• Required to be able to lift the Roll-Off hook and attach it to the bin, requires bending and ability to lift 25-50 pounds
• Perform other duties as required.
