This work is hands on and high pressure in every sense. You will be running water cannons and lancing equipment at pressures up to 40,000 PSI, entering vessels and tanks under permit, and cleaning exchangers on tight turnaround schedules. We are hiring for multiple projects this fall, so strong crew members can expect steady work through the season and first consideration for the next one.

What You'll Do
  • Operate high pressure water blasting equipment at pressures up to 40,000 PSI, including water cannons, hand lances, and rigid and flex lancing systems.
  • Clean storage tanks, process vessels, columns, and heat exchangers, removing scale, sludge, coke, and hardened process deposits.
  • Perform vessel and confined space entry work under permit, following the site entry, air monitoring, and rescue plans at all times.
  • Support exchanger bundle cleaning, tube lancing, and shell side cleaning during turnarounds and shutdowns.
  • Set up, inspect, pressure test, and tear down pumps, hoses, guns, and containment before and after every job.
  • Participate in pre job hazard assessments, tailgate meetings, and equipment inspections, and stop work when conditions are not right.
  • Contain, transfer, and dispose of waste, sludge, and wash water in line with client procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Wear and maintain all required PPE, including blast suits, respirators, and supplied air where the job calls for it.
  • Work alongside turnaround and shutdown crews on tight schedules, on day or night shift as the project requires.
  • Report equipment issues, hazards, and near misses to the supervisor immediately.
What You Bring
  • Previous industrial tank, vessel, and exchanger cleaning experience.
  • Hands on experience with high pressure water blasting, including work at pressures up to 40,000 PSI.
  • Experience operating water cannons, hand lances, and automated lancing equipment.
  • Comfortable performing vessel entry and confined space work.
  • Valid safety tickets, or the ability to obtain them before mobilization: H2S Alive, Confined Space Entry, Standard First Aid, CSTS or CSO, and a current respirator fit test.
  • Able to pass a pre access drug and alcohol test and site specific orientation.
  • Physically capable of working 12 hour shifts in full PPE, outdoors, in fall and early winter conditions.
  • Willing to travel and stay at camp or in project accommodations across Western Canada.
  • Strong safety mindset, dependable attendance, and a team first attitude.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous turnaround or shutdown experience at refineries, upgraders, gas plants, or terminals.
  • Fall protection, aerial work platform, and confined space rescue training.
  • Vacuum truck, hydrovac, or industrial vacuum experience.
  • Chemical cleaning or decontamination experience.
  • Valid Class 5 driver licence with a clean abstract and reliable transportation.
Work Environment
  • Industrial sites across Western Canada, including refineries, upgraders, gas plants, and tank terminals.
  • A mix of outdoor, elevated, and confined space work in fall and early winter weather.
  • Exposure to high pressure equipment, noise, hydrocarbons, and process residues, controlled through permits, PPE, and site procedures.
  • Camp accommodations or a living out allowance (LOA) are provided depending on the project location.
  • 12 hour shifts, day or night, with schedules set by the project.
