We're Hiring: General Manager – Lead, Grow, and Elevate Sprezzatura

Sprezzatura is a modern Italian restaurant built on warmth, quality, and connection. We’re seeking a strategic, sales-driven General Manager with experience in training and development within casual fine dining group operations—and the entrepreneurial mindset to help shape our next phase of growth.

This isn’t a corporate cookie-cutter role. It’s a rare chance to lead with vision, contribute directly to bottom-line results, and build something meaningful with a respected independent operator.

Your Role

SALES GROWTH & MARKETING

- Own revenue performance with strategies that drive increased covers, average spend, and event bookings.
-Collaborate on innovative marketing initiatives—including social media, promotions, and community engagement.
- Monitor KPIs and make data-informed decisions to improve profitability.
- Create and grow new revenue channels through events, partnerships, and private dining.

TRAINING & TEAM DEVELOPMENT

Apply your group-level experience to implement structured onboarding and training systems.
Coach and develop team members to uphold casual fine dining standards and service consistency.
Build a culture of accountability, warmth, and high performance.

OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT

- Oversee day-to-day operations including scheduling, service flow, inventory, and compliance.
- Ensure labour costs align with sales goals without compromising guest experience.
- Handle group bookings and events from inquiry to execution.
- Maintain compliance with all food safety, liquor, and workplace standards.

WHAT YOU BRING

- 3+ years of GM or senior FOH leadership in full-service or casual fine dining restaurants.
- Proven entrepreneurial mindset—you think like an owner and act like a leader.
- Experience in multi-unit or group training systems, SOP development, and scaling service excellence.
- A track record of sales and profit growth, including forecasting and P&L ownership.
- Bartending and service expertise, ideally with Italian food and beverage familiarity.
- Fluency in POS (we use Lightspeed), scheduling, and modern FOH tools.
- High EQ, with calm problem-solving instincts and a coaching-first leadership style.
- Flexible availability across a 5-day schedule (evenings and weekends required).

- Location: On-site at Sprezzatura (265 Kingsway, Vancouver, BC)
- Requirements:
- Valid SIN and legal ability to work in Canada
- Serving It Right certification
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
