Job summary

Western Well Servicing is hiring Experienced Floorhands for a full-time seasonal role local to Brooks, AB and Lloydminster, SK. You will join a 5-person crew on a well service rig performing essential oil and gas well services.

Responsibilities include assisting in driving equipment, rigging up and rigs down, and handling rods, tubing and casing as directed by the well operator. Benefits include medical, dental, vision coverage and RRSP matching.

Qualifications

• Fluent in written/spoken English.
• Valid full Class 5 driver's license (Air Brakes preferred).
• Willing to work in all weather conditions and away from home for periods.

Job description

Western Well Servicing is hiring Experienced Floorhands local to the following areas:

• Brooks, AB
• Lloydminster, SK

Position is full-time seasonal position. Seasonal work is based on operational requirements, project schedules, weather and environmental conditions and other factors outside our control. We operate a large, safe and reliable fleet of mobile single, double and slant service rigs for workovers, well completions, re-entry preparation services and abandonments.

The Floorhand is part of a 5-person crew that works on a well service rig and is responsible for performing services on oil and gas wells. Duties of the Floor Hand include assisting in driving equipment, rigging up and rigging down, pulling/laying down rods, tubing and casing, and other functions specified by well operator.

What do we require from you?

• Valid full Class 5 Drivers license
• Air Brakes are preferred
• Preferred Industry Tickets:
  • Valid H2S Alive (Energy Safety Canada)
  • Valid Standard First Aid with CPR
  • CSO (Common Safety Orientation) (Energy Safety Canada)
  • ESC Floorhand Competency considered an asset
• Ability to pass pre-employment testing
• Fluent in Written/Spoken English
• Be willing to work in all weather conditions and work environments with work away from home for periods of time
