Position: Cook

Reporting to the Executive Sous-Chef, the cook is responsible for preparing, cooking, and serving food, as well as maintaining cleanliness of the premises and equipment, while adhering to established standards. The role requires close collaboration with the service team to deliver excellent service and a memorable customer experience.

Line cooks should have extensive experience in food preparation and cooking, typically at least two to three years in a restaurant setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up work surfaces before service;
  • Prepare dishes, sauces, and garnishes;
  • Assemble plates according to standards and guidelines;
  • Manage daily food rotation;
  • Maintain cleanliness of workstation, kitchen, and equipment;
  • Monitor refrigerator temperatures;
  • Ensure food quality;
  • Clean kitchen and workstation after shifts;
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.

Candidate Profile:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role;
  • Graduate degree or professional diploma in cooking, hospitality, or relevant field (asset);
  • Valid Food Handling Certificate;
  • Positive attitude and interpersonal skills;
  • Strong organizational skills and work ethic;
  • Teamwork aptitude;
  • Responsibility, integrity, honesty, and versatility;
  • Ability to tolerate stress and high temperatures;
  • Good manual dexterity;
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs.

Salary: According to current salary scale, plus benefits.

Work Schedule: Part-time or full-time, evenings and weekends may be required.
