Job Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced Concrete Forman / Prep Crew Leader to lead our prep crew in delivering high-quality concrete work on time and within budget. This role is ideal for someone who is confident operating skid steers and bobcats, thrives in leadership roles, and is looking for a challenging and rewarding seasonal position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team in site prep work for concrete projects including driveways, sidewalks, patios, stairs, and commercial flatwork
  • Operate and maintain skid steer / bobcat and other prep equipment (equipment provided)
  • Supervise and direct daily crew tasks, delegate responsibilities, and ensure high productivity
  • Read and interpret blueprints, grade stakes, and job specifications
  • Ensure job sites are set up and maintained in a safe, clean, and organized manner
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and other trades onsite
  • Assist with layout, forming, grading, and scheduling of materials and equipment
  • Maintain quality control throughout all aspects of the prep work
  • Ensure all work meets safety and regulatory standards

Requirements

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in concrete construction and leading prep crews
  • Maintains a safety-first mindset, with strong working knowledge of COR certification requirements, including hazard assessments, toolbox talks, site orientations, and ongoing safety compliance practices
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license with clean driver’s abstract (Class 3 is an asset)
  • Driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from the shop is an absolute must
  • Licensed and experienced in skid steer / bobcat operation
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and physically fit for outdoor manual labor
  • Willing to work long hours, weekends, and varying shifts during peak season
