Job description

Responsibilities:

  1. Creates set-ups, models and animates assigned character external features such as hair, fur and cloth to meet art direction.
  2. Accountable for meeting productivity and quota targets.
  3. Able to create character simulations for multiple types of character features and may have in-depth skills in one area (e.g., hair or cloth).
  4. Participates in writing utility scripts and software code that streamlines the simulation development process.
  5. Accountable for meeting schedules and show deadlines, participates in dailies, rounds and team reviews of work in progress.
  6. Interacts with production, supervisors, and team/peers to problem solve and share information related to show/assigned tasks.
  7. Deciphers and follows through on shot turnovers, dailies, briefings/notes and feedback.
  8. Works efficiently as part of a team or independently to determine various design solutions.

Qualifications:

  1. In-depth knowledge of relevant software including Maya, Linux, UNIX and scripting ability in relevant languages including MEL, Perl and Python highly desirable.
  2. Minimum of 3+ years of progressively complex related experience.

Salary: The anticipated base salary for a Senior position is $45.34 to $65.10/hr. The actual base salary offered will depend on various factors including qualifications, years of relevant experience, level of education, certifications, and location.

Please note that you must be able to provide a demo reel that illustrates your relevant artistic and technical experience that also includes the nuances for this specific role.
