Job summary

The Hair Bin in Fort St. John, BC, is seeking an experienced barber for a full-time, on-site role. You will cut, trim, shave, style, and color hair, while delivering friendly customer service in a fast-paced shop.

Candidates should have 2+ years of barbering experience and hold a barber or cosmetology license; Red Seal is a plus. The position offers full-time hours and requires some evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• 2 years hair styling experience preferred.
• Licensing in barber/cosmetology required or equivalent.
• Red seal is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Cut and trim hair with clippers and scissors.
• Shave and trim beards and mustaches.
• Provide straight razor shaves and color/treatments as needed.
• Greet clients and deliver excellent customer service.
• Handle payments and operate the POS system.
• Perform light daily cleaning and maintain shop tidiness.

Lorcon Ind. Ltd dba The Hair Bin is seeking qualified and experienced barbers.

Job Duties:

• cut and trim hair with clippers and scissors
• shave and trim beards and mustaches
• provide straight razor shaves
• provide hair color and treatment services as required
• greet clients and provide excellent customer service
• accept clients payment and use computer to cash out clients
• light daily cleaning duties required
• supervisory experience an asset
• 3 to 5 years minimum experience required
• fast paced work environment, standing for long periods required
• some evenings and weekends required
• 40 hours per week on a permanent basis

Education:

• Secondary School completion, vocational or technical training, barber or cosmetology license or equivalent
• Red seal is an asset

Experience:

• Hair Stylists: 2 years (preferred)
• hair styling: 2 years (preferred)
