WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

You'll leverage your deep cloud expertise to architect, automate, and optimize our infrastructure, directly impacting the reliability, performance, and security of our critical services. If you're a results-oriented cloud expert who thrives on solving complex challenges and driving tangible improvements, we want to hear from you.

More specifically your responsibilities include:

Architect and implement robust, scalable AWS infrastructure to power our growing SaaS applications.

Automate continuous deployment pipelines to accelerate delivery and ensure consistent, reliable releases.

Proactively optimize cloud resources for high availability, performance, and cost-efficiency.

Lead the resolution of critical cloud infrastructure issues, maintaining optimal service levels.

Collaborate with development teams to seamlessly integrate cloud solutions into application architectures.

Champion and implement security best practices and compliance standards across our AWS environment.

Mentor and guide DevOps team members and developers, fostering a culture of cloud excellence.

TECH STACK, TOOLS, AND SERVICES

AWS Core: EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, CloudWatch, IAM

CI/CD Automation: TeamCity or Jenkins

Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Terraform (required)

Configuration as Code (CaC): Octopus Deploy or Ansible

Code Security Monitoring: SonarQube

Monitoring & Alerting: Splunk, CloudWatch

Scripting: PowerShell, Python, Bash

Configuration: JSON, YAML

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE

3+ years of hands-on experience as an AWS Cloud Engineer or DevOps Engineer with a strong focus on enterprise SaaS deployments. Our preference is for individuals with experience with small to medium development organizations designing, building, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines in AWS cloud environments.

Proficient with learning new DevOps technology and apply that technology into existing development pipelines.

Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex AWS networking and security challenges.

Deep expertise in managing the AWS services listed above.

Significant experience with Terraform for infrastructure automation.

Demonstrated experience with deployment automation tools like Octopus Deploy or Ansible.

Solid understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS/EKS, Fargate).

Proficiency in scripting with Bash, PowerShell, or Python for automation tasks.

Experience with Splunk and CloudWatch for monitoring and alerting.

Strong collaboration and communication skills.

A commitment to continuous learning in the cloud space.

Must hold a valid work permit or be a permanent resident or citizen of Canada.

Bonus Points For:

Full stack developer with CI pipeline experience.

AWS System Administrator or Solutions Architect Associate certification

Linux Essentials or CompTIA Linux+ certifications
